SAL Doctoral College

Unfold future

The SAL Doctoral College (SAL-DC) is a novel doctoral trai­ning program for rese­ar­chers in the field of EBS. SAL coop­er­ates with industry, academic and scien­tific part­ners on a regional, national and inter­na­tional level with the aim of building an excel­lent re­search network and ecosystem for EBS. Fellows benefit from trai­ning in a highly inter­na­tional, inter­di­sci­pli­nary and inter­sec­toral setting offered by SAL-DC to become future re­search leaders.

Research excellence

The mission of CRYSTALLINE is to train early-stage researchers (ESRs) as future leaders in Electronic Based Systems research. Our program has been designed for a duration of 60 months, where the individual ESRs will be expected to finish their PhD within 48 months. 

Our first call is now open till March 29, 2024.

SAL Uni Labs

From idea to

The SAL-Uni Labs are chartered to perform applied fundamental research in selected areas of EBS with scientific excellence. By interdisciplinary research between several university institutes and SAL, it is the goal to jointly generate ground-breaking research results that can be leveraged in future cooperation projects with industry partners.

SAL Innovation Hubs

From idea to

The SAL Innovation-Hubs with the Universities of Applied Science (Fachhochschulen) are chartered to perform applied research in selected areas of EBS with high relevance for near-term innovations of our industry partners. Research results can be leveraged quickly in future cooperation or contract research projects with industry partners.
